The Chairman, Ikorodu-Oga Development Association, Dr. Fatayi Olukoga, has urged the Federal Government to construct an alternative road to Ikorodu Road to reduce traffic congestion and attendant hazards road users experience on the current Ikorodu Road.
He also asked the government to urgently rehabilitate Ikorodu Road, especially the spots destroyed by the recent flooding in Lagos and Ogun states.
Olukoga made the statement on Monday, at the Ikorodu-Oga Day celebration. He said the association would use the opportunity of the celebration to revive the socio-cultural and educational activities in the area.
He also lauded the Lagos State Government for relocating some of the flood victims at Agbowa Resettlement Camp, Ikosi, Ejinrin Local Council Development Area.
